St. Brigid's well as it looked about 1994. Although surrounded by an ugly railing it was nevertheless intact and not in immediate danger. |

However recently it has been left very much to nature and the weeds almost bury it in summer |

Weeds can be cut or killed very easily but the threat
now facing the well is a lot more solid and could obliterate it in seconds!

JAN 2002: The well as it appeared at the start of the year. The wall of clay from the hotel development has been levelled but the well remains neglected and forgotton. |
